A simple, baked pizza
Pizza dough (either bought or homemade dough)
2 slices of Swiss cheese
Sliced tomatoes
2 chopped Serrano peppers
Olive oil
Salt Pepper
Basil leaves
Prepare the pizza dough according to directions (if you want to make your own dough, you can use the recipe from this link)
Shape the pizza dough until you have app. 9- inches in diameter
Spread pesto onto the dough
Add the cheese
Arrange overlapping tomato slices in a circle
Add Serrano peppers
Sprinkle with a little olive oil
Season with salt and pepper
Bake for 30 minutes in a preheated 450 degree oven, preferably on a pizza stone.
Top with small fresh basil leaves or torn large ones.
Enjoy with a mixed green salad and a nice rustic red wine.
