Apple Tart
1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
4 Granny Smith apples, peeled and cored
¼ cup sugar
¼ stick of cold butter, cut into small pieces
¼ cup apple jelly
Preheat oven to 400F
Roll out puff pastry to a 11x11 inch sheet
Set on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Cut apples in half, slice into ¼ inch slices and lay slices on pastry in overlapping pattern.
Sprinkle with half the sugar and dot with butter
Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Remove from oven, brush with apple jelly and sprinkle with remaining sugar.
Place under broiler until slices start to brown, 5-10 minutes.
Cool and cut into squares.
Serve warm or cold.
